Melbourne workers downed tools and took to the streets today, marching from the Carlton Trades Hall to Flinders St Station at the centre of the city to protest and motivate action against the upcoming seizure of the legislative by Prime Minister Howard’s increasingly conservative Liberal Party and the eradication of self-determination and legal protection for all workers that will result.
Sir Frederick Chook attended personally, along with other Wobblies and one hundred thousand Victorian workers seeking to protect their liberty, livelyhood and organisations. Daguerrotypes of the auspicious event can be viewed in the Salon.

Ah its obvious why the Liberals are the devil, the are exact opposite of Socialist workers thought.
Economic Liberalism+Social Conservatism= The Liberal Party
Economic Conservatism+Social Liberalism= modern socialist thought.
Of course it is much, much more complicated than that, but one cannot help but drawn comparison.
