Much hip, and also hop.

Penned upon the 15th of October, 2005

Yesterday witnessed Sir Frederick and Admiral ShareAll attending a live Hip-Hop concert here in colonial capital Melbourne. Three ‘crews’ were performing (sequentially).

Diafrix (who were first) were everything that Hip-Hop should be - Old-Schoole, joyous, funky and semi-autobiographical. See Sir Frederick or Admiral ShareAll for information for thier next show.

Combat Wombat (who were in the middle) were a ‘crew’ of orthodox Trotskyites who ‘rhymed’ about bourgeois opressesion, imperialist class fallacy and the inevitability of the dictatorship of the proletariat.

The Herd (who were last) were the main attraction, and funked so hard we both collapsed into a Hip-Hop stupor and had to be deposited in the dumpster by the custodian.

A very excellent show. Seven stars!
