Not a Scene from a Seaside Penny-Postcard

Penned upon the 21st of June, 2006

Frances attributed her guest’s obvious discomfort to their mysterious genteman-visitor’s knee-breeches and resumed her knitting. Georgiana, meanwhile, wrung the note that Inspector Campbell had slipped her, which revealed that by her characteristically manly tie-knot he recognised her as in fact being Thomas Clavell, serial strangler, previously thought to be at large in France. This was an awkward situation, and she began to seriously regret asking the Inspector home for tea.

Upon the 30th of June, 2006 at 6:27 am,

I am almost continuouly impressed by the words that drizzle from your pen. It makes me feel a tremble under my shirt waist as if it were slightly off kilter, in a pleasing way.

  2. Sir Frederick Chooke was heard to remark,

Upon the 6th of July, 2006 at 10:39 pm,

  3. Youre admirer, returned was heard to remark,

Upon the 25th of July, 2006 at 3:31 pm,

Whew! I must admit a blush has come over me as if I were cholic! And yes, your metaphors have settled as soundly as my mother’s 30 lb. hair piece. You words give me the vapours, and speaking of such, where is that ether…
